Situated at the foot of beautiful Mount Kora, part of the lengthy Mino Range, Kurume City is bound on the north and west by the Chikugo River, the largest river in central Kyushu. Clean and beautiful, Kurume City is large enough to provide all the amenities of city life, and still small enough to retain a friendly small town atmosphere.
